Thank You Letter & Survey May 2011 To our Clients and Friends, With the completion of your 2010 return behind us, (unless we filed an extension, which means you are still have until October 17th to get your return filed) we want to thank you for your reliance on our tax services. It seems legislation affecting the Tax Code has become a common event. Last year, there were four sweeping tax acts, with the last piece of legislation dealing with numerous expiring tax provisions and the temporary (for 2010 only) estate tax repeal finally passing in late December, just in the nick of time. This year, we are likely to see less legislative activity, as there are fewer pressing tax matters for our legislature to tackle. However, nothing is certain. Further, the IRS has already been busy issuing guidance for all of last year's changes. Thus, as always, the complexity of tax law continues to increase with no end in sight.
